Connecting Feeding Challenges to Mealtime Solutions
Mealtime Connections brings together a group of professionals who have a passion for working with infants and young children and who have an understanding of complex medical, developmental and feeding concerns. Our philosophy is based on the belief that feeding is a relationship that is based on trust. We want every child to enjoy eating, have confidence in his or her eating skills and to eat enough to thrive. Mealtime Connections provides the highest level of evaluation, family support and therapy for every child and family we meet.
We provide a variety of support services that are tailored to meet the individualized needs of each child and family. Our therapists can identify strengths, specific challenges, work with the child's medical team, and partner with the family to create a successful treatment plan and home program.
Services We Provide
Feeding Therapy
Our Occupational Therapists and Speech Language Pathologists provide a variety of specialized intervention for a variety of feeding and eating challenges including therapy for swallowing disorders, lactation and breast feeding support, transition to solids, tube weaning support, Vital Stim, guidance for picky eaters and more.
Certified Lactation Counseling
Our Certified Lactation Counselors are dedicated to promoting, protecting, and supporting breastfeeding and human lactation working to prevent and solve breastfeeding problems for mothers and their infants.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapists evaluate and treat feeding, fine motor, visual motor, sensory motor and daily living skills being respectful of cultural, social, economic, and learning diversity.
Speech Therapy
Our Speech Language Pathologists evaluate and treat disorders related to speech sound production, resonance, voice, fluency, language, cognition, and feeding, eating and swallowing due to any etiology that may impact an individual’s communication and swallowing abilities being respectful of cultural, social, economic, and learning diversity.
Physical Therapy
Our physical therapists are able to assess the need for braces, splints, and adaptive equipment for successful mobility and independence. In addition, our physical therapist provides assistance to our occupational and speech therapists for assessing proper seating alignment of the child for safe mealtimes.
